One of my Pet Loves I mentioned yesterday was the change of seasons.

Specifically summer to fall.

{Can this please be what my lunch looks like today?}

When you live in E. Texas, it’s definitely possible to wake up one morning to the hot, muggy mess that is the last remaining traces of our blazing summers…only to wake up the next to crisp air, falling leaves, and really hyper kiddos (what is it about the change in seasons that makes them so darn frisky?).

But for the last several years, rather than a cool snap, it’s been more like a cool sliiiiiiiiiiiide (and a reluctant one at that).

I can remember some of my non-Texan-born-and-raised FB friends posting in November of last year about how ridiculous it was that we were still in the 90’s when their home states were getting buckets of snow.

This year seems promising, though.

For example, Sunday’s high is supposed to be 80 {gASP!}.

So, in honor of such momentous, almost fall-worthy temps, I picked a few fun features from last week’s party that fit well with the IT’S ALMOST FALL craze that is sweeping the blogosphere.

Apparently, we bloggers get just as giddy as our kids when it comes to creating/wearing new things for autumn.

P.S. Don’t forget our current giveaway (a professional upgrade of a favorite photo, which will then be framed and mailed to you by me!), which is being offered by Kelly McDowell photography (give her page a “like” while you’re visiting, wouldja? : ))—the awesome photographer for we used for our Twin Belly Photoshoot!

Okay, so…

I’m really loving:

these lovely autumns-inspired yarn balls from Bullfrogs and Bulldogs

especially since they would pair so well with these painted drop cloth soap wraps from Live Laugh Rowe.

And this cheeky sequins and pearls ensemble from The House of Shoes has just the right touches of layers, color, texture, and pattern for fall!

I’m loving all of It’s Just Laine’s latest home-decorating experiments, but her inspired tip of using sewing pins as hanging tools (you know, to make only the tiniest holes when you’re updating your home décor with fall accents) is just brilliant!

And it just wouldn’t be fall without a cozy dinner for the brisk evenings. I think this Bacon Carbonara from Crumbs and Chaos would do just fine!

Alrighty…

You know the drill!

Link up your creations, your deep (or shallow) thoughts, your fashion, your home décor.

Basically…

I love hearing from you guys!
