First of all, I don’t think I ever updated you guys about how our Saturday Sale went last time.

Practically everything sold (you can go back and check on the items left to see if there’s something you still want).

With 25% of the proceeds going to PCM, we raised $73 to help support orphans and pastors’ kids in Uganda.

In fact, it was enough to sponsor one of their orphans for 2 whole months!

Woot!

(I’m thinking that’s exactly what we’re going to do with the proceeds from Shop My Closet sales from here on out! That way, I can show you guys a name/face to connect with/pray for; I’ll keep you posted!)

OKAY!

The sale will go down pretty much the same as it did last time, except this time, I think we’ll give 30% to PCM! : )

Just in case you haven’t seen the “fine print” yet or don’t remember, read on, dear friends.

PLEASE read everything at least once! It’ll help me (and you) out so much!

SHIPPING: $2/item for all clothes but jeans, which will be $5 each.  Also, $6 for shoes.  Shipping won’t exceed $20 for clothes or $25 for shoes, no matter how many items you buy (this is strictly for U.S. residents. If my awesome Canadian readers see something they can’t live without, we can probably make it work, but I’ll have to do a little shipping research. I’m afraid I won’t be shipping outside of the U.S./Canada, though. Sorry!).

PAYMENT: Once I have specific buyers for specific items, I will bill you via PayPal, so you’ll need an account. Even if you don’t already have one, setting one up is easy-peasy, very safe (and fairly convenient to have for other circumstances).

PRICING: I’ve put prices on here that I see as fair for used items in good to excellent condition (though some are New with Tags) that I took the time to find/buy/post. The starting prices are firm, I’m afraid.

BIDDING:” I won’t be responding to specific bids for at least one full day…maybe more, depending on the level of interest in a specific item (unless you have a question), at which point I will assess how many people are interested in the same items.

I will then contact each person once with a chance to “up their bid” from the base price. Whoever places the highest bid at that point wins the item.

Obviously, for those items that only get one person’s interest, the price stays as listed.

**I am doing this for one reason only: I’m donating 30% of the proceeds to:

Parental Care Ministries: The Father's Love in Action

…and I’ll shamelessly take as much money as we can raise from this little shindig. : )

TIME FRAME: I will likely ship the items in bulk once I know for sure which are items belong where and have everything packed up, so please be patient with me. I so appreciate it!

this is the most important part! : )

CONTACT ME: Please reply by email to to blogabbie{at}gmail{dot}com (NOT in the comments section) with the item # (on bottom righthand side of the pics) of the pieces you’re interested in in the heading of your email, so I can make sure they all go to the right spot.

QUESTIONS: All specific questions about items can be sent to blogabbie{at}gmail{dot}com.

I’ve tried to be as detailed as possible, but you are, of course, welcome to ask away! : )

WRINKLES: Please try to ignore them as they are no indication of the item’s condition.

SIZING: I’ve tried to include as many pictures as I could find of me actually wearing the items so you could see how they fit on a real body, but some of the items aren’t in my size or I’ve never worn.

As a point of reference for the items that are, I am between 5’6” and 5’7” and generally wear between a size 2-4 or 26-27 in pants and an x-small (if it runs a little big…which a whole lot do these days) or a small in tops.

Also, if an item says “true-to-size,” then that means that if your jeans size is almost always a 27, then these jeans will fit you.  Or if you are a size small in most brands, then a true-to-size small will fit you.

Phew! All those longwinded explanations wear me out!

Let’s get this party started!

  1. Okay, so I love your blog and read it all the time, but this will be my first time to take part in bidding, so I may not be doing it correctly. I do follow you publicly and have “liked” you on Facebook. I would like to bid on the Nike shoes #29.

  2. I’m just throwing this out there…I don’t think anybody else could host a “Shop My Closet” and have shoes suitable for a size range like yours…6-11?! That’s an impressive mix!

  3. Hi Abbie, you make me smile! I’ve liked you on Facebook and have subscribed to your emails but now I follow you on Google! (I think I created a blog somehow….)

  4. I love shopping your closet! And I’m a follower, and love it! As a side note, totally doing my own thing to raise money for Uganda. Our church just did a really cool walk for water to help support the town of Ballisa Uganda that we support as a group and also individually since we have a World Vision sponsored child named Moses. Our goal is to go there on a mission trip as a family as my kids get older. So I totally love what you are doing! They need the help.

  5. I am a public follower 🙂 I’m sorry my body is too big and my feet are too small for your sale 🙁

  6. I must be blog illiterate because i have no idea what “become a public follower” means, but I like you on Facebook so I hope that counts!

  7. Wow, I’m already subscribed by e-mail and a FB follower. I love your daily updates. They make me smile too, what a great symbiotic relationship 🙂 I also shared the giveaway on FB for all my great friends to follow!! P.S. Congrats on the baby. Praying that you are well and the baby will be born healthy!!

I love hearing from you guys!
