Gooooood morning!

If you missed my explanation from Monday for the lack of a party last Friday, it basically boiled down to posting the party and missing some of my firstborn’s birthday celebration OR saying, “Oh well! They’ll still like me enough to check back next week…I hope,” and running out the door. So, if you’re back this week, thank you! My little boy was a fan of my decision, and I’m excited to see what you have to share!

Speaking of sharing, yesterday was the 30th of May, which, for those of you who have been participating in or, at least, following along with our 30 Day Husband Encouragement Challenge, means that YOU’RE DONE! You made it! You don’t ever have to encourage your husband again!

Um….

So, I guess that’s not exactly the point. Neither do I want it to be. I plan to use the guide from the challenge as a way to keep on encouraging my husband by picking random days from it as prompts. And, on the days that I haven’t looked up a prompt, I am going to make an effort to notice one thing that he did or said that I can praise.

So…how did the month end for me? Well, there were no big slip-ups, to speak of. I definitely got a little more lax about following the specific instructions and being as intentional as I would have liked to have been about doing little acts of service, etc. I can also remember at least one passive aggressive “Whatever” response (mature, I know) during a moment of stress.

But for the most part, the more I chose to be positive, the easier it was to find things to be positive about. I am one blessed girl.

I ended the challenge with a bang by making him his favorite meal as a surprise. He sure wasn’t expecting crusted filet mignon on a Thursday! I even changed out of my workout clothes and put on a skirt and some perfume. Wonders never cease!

He was a very happy camper.

Our anniversary is Sunday, and, while we’re keeping things pretty low-key since the twins are still very much Mama-milk addicts, I’m looking forward to the chance to just spend some time with my love and reflect on what a blessed marriage we have.

So, here’s where you come in. If you participated in the challenge and feel like you got something out of it or learned something, would you do me the favor of commenting here or sending me an email at blogabbie{at}gmail{dot}com (or by using the “email Abbie” button on the right sidebar) telling me how the challenge has blessed you? I plan to put together some of the best bits to share on the blog, so please know that by sending me the email, you’re also giving me permission to share it with others. Several ladies have already left some absolutely incredible comments about how good this challenge has been for their marriages, and I would love to hear more!

Ooooooooookay, enough about “the challenge.”

It’s time to party!

Don’t forget to grab a party button so others can join in the fun (or just include a text link-back).

Oh, and don’t forget to follow along with all these other fun happenings:
