Goooood Monday morning, friends!

So, last night, Shaun and I were up late(ish) putting together a fun Paint and Prose package for an even more fun event (that I’ll tell you about soon), and as I was crawling into bed around 11:30, I heard the twins giggling and talking full voice in their bed.

When I went to investigate, sure enough, they were both sitting up, parading their dolls around–clearly fully convinced that it was early morning (they always wake up before the sun) instead of a few shorts hours after they first fell asleep. I attempted to correct their error, but they remained unconvinced for the next hour.

I woke up no fewer than 5 times to go in there and quiet them down, but they had a hard time settling. And every time I woke up to their squeals and stumbled into their room, I remembered something else that I needed to to do today. It’s a doozy.

I have to: attend a home school co-op preview (a requirement before they’ll consider your enrollment), grocery shop, mail things, finalize my BODYCOMBAT chorey memorization for our “launch” this afternoon, finish hauling all of my bags downstairs for the #3week50bag challenge (I’ll do the final count + update in the morning), do laundry, prep dinner, teach BODYCOMBAT launch, print pictures for our sponsored children letters, and then deliver them (this batch goes to Africa, and a team hand delivers them). Oh, and then make dinner, and get the kids in bed.

Phew!

I think I’ve probably forgotten something, and it’s making my feel a bit hive-y to process all of that, BUT!

The best part is that I get to start the day with a fun little treat for you guys!

A little over a year ago, I attended a wedding of one of my husband’s coworkers. It was a gorgeous event, and the couple seemed very sweet, but I didn’t know them well.

Then, a few weeks ago, the bride, Chelsey, reached out to me with some “shop-talk” questions (since we’re both small business owners) because, as it turns out, she’s a metal smith who makes gorgeous custom jewelry.

It took me a minute to connect all of the dots, but once I did, it was super-fun to realize that we actually already sort of knew each other.

We emailed back and forth, getting to know each other better, and what ultimately came of all of that was a set of beautiful initial rings for me, a chance to win some for you, and a dinner where we got to chat for a long time (definitely my favorite and an experience I hope to repeat soon; Chelsey’s  a kindred spirit).

chelsey

{Aren’t she and her husband cuties?!}

Chelsey is a sweetheart, and her work, in a word, is stunning.

She’s so talented and puts so much thought and care into each one of her pieces.

rings

I’m pretty over the moon about my initial rings, and she even threw in a matching spacer ring so that they stack even better.

The delicate turquoise ring was a birthday gift from Shaun, and, considering that the initials I chose are from our nicknames for each other, the whole stack is pretty darn special to me.

Plus, they fit perfectly and are so light and wearable that I hardly notice I have anything my finger!

I had a really hard time choosing exactly what to order from Chelsey, but in the future, I think I’ll go for this adorable pearl ring to add to my stack:

Or maybe I’ll manage to snag of one of her exquisite one-of-a-kind vintage jewelry “rescue” pieces (she does cool things like repurpose broken earrings into pretty rings):
