Saturday Sale!

Hey guys!

Welcome to our first ever:

(It’s still Saturday on the west coast, so I’m going for it)

I’ve got quite a few excuses—some of them fun and some not so much—for not getting this up this morning like I planned, but I’ll skip ‘em and get straight to the good stuff.

Okay, here’s how this sale will go down:

SHIPPING: $2/item for all clothes but jeans, which will be $5 each.  Also, $6 for shoes.  Shipping won’t exceed $15 for clothes or $20 for shoes, no matter how many items you buy (this is strictly for U.S. residents. If my awesome Canadian readers see something they can’t live without, we can probably make it work, but I’ll have to do a little shipping research. I’m afraid I won’t be shipping outside of the U.S./Canada, though. Sorry!).

PAYMENT: Once I have specific buyers for specific items, I will bill you via PayPal, so you’ll need an account. Even if you don’t already have one, setting one up is easy-peasy, very safe (and fairly convenient to have for other circumstances).

PRICING: I’ve put prices on here that I see as fair for used items in very good to excellent condition (though some are New with Tags) that I took the time to find/buy/post. The starting prices are firm, I’m afraid.

BIDDING:” I won’t be responding to specific bids until the end of the day (unless you have a question), at which point I will assess how many people are interested in the same items.

I will then contact each person once with a chance to “up their bid” from the base price. Whoever places the highest bid at that point wins the item.

Obviously, for those items that only get one person’s interest, the price stays as listed.

**I am doing this for one reason only: I’m donating 25% of the proceeds to Parental Care Ministries: The Father's Love in Action

…and I’ll shamelessly take as much money as we can raise from this little shindig. : )

TIME FRAME: I will likely ship the items in bulk (I always have my children with me when I go to the post office, and it’s made me start to get an allergic reaction to even the words “post office,” so I’m going to try to preserve some sanity there) at the end of the upcoming week once I know for sure which are items belong where and have everything packed up, so please be patient with me. I so appreciate it!

MORE ITEMS: I got as much as I could photographed in the time frame that I had light to work with, but I’ve still got quite the pile, and I will try to add more tomorrow. So, you might check back throughout the day. If not, I’ll just save them for another sale.

CONTACT ME: Please reply by email with the item # (on the pics) of the pieces you’re interested in in the heading of your email, so I can make sure they all go to the right spot.

QUESTIONS: Any specific questions about items can be sent to blogabbie{at}gmail{dot}com.

I’ve tried to be as detailed as possible, but you are, of course, welcome to ask away! : )

WRINKLES: Please try to ignore them (when I said that I had stockpiled some items for you, the emphasis should have been on the “pile”).

SIZING: I’ve tried to include as many pictures as I could find of me actually wearing the items so you could see how they fit on a real body, but some of the items aren’t in my size. As a point of reference for the items that are, I am between 5’6” and 5’7” and generally wear between a size 2-4 or 26-27 in pants and an x-small (if it runs big…which a whole lot do these days) or a small in tops.

Also, if an item says “true-to-size,” then that means that if your jeans size is almost always a 27, then these jeans will fit you.  Or if you are a size small in most brands, then a true-to-size small will fit you.

And now, because I feel completely weirded out by all the seriousness of that technical jargon (especially the wrinkles disclaimer)…let me just take a moment to say…

YEEEEEHAAAAW! Let’s Rodeo!

  1. Hi Abbie,
I just sent you an email to booprints@gmail.com
Is that correct? I love pretty much everything & detailed my bids in the email. Great clothes for a great cause!
Let me know if I need to send it to a different email or you need further info. Thanks!

  2. i’m so sad about the leopard and vince ones! i totally luv luv LUV them to the point that i’m almost willing to get them and at least try to see if they fit my 8 foot.

  3. Just wanted to say: 1. it might be helpful for you to include your basic measurements for comparison! i haven’t worn some of these brands. 2. be careful on shipping!! i think some of those shoes will end up costing you money to ship, and the jeans, in my experience those are usually at least $6 to ship :)

  4. Love, love the B Smart black and green daisy dress, but un fortunately my girls only fit in a size 6 x2. Oh I really can picture my self wearing it too. darn! I even have the sweetest short sleeve bleach shaw sweater that would look fab with it too. Best of luck in you charity sale. Have a wicked good Sunday.

I love comments so much I'd actually consider making them my sixth kid if I could. Seriously. Love. And I read every single one and will do my darndest to respond, especially if you have a question. So, yeah. Comment away! I'm listening!
