Hey there, chicas!

Time for another round of Thrifted or Grifted, the fashion game where you test your thrifting savvy by deciding whether an outfit is:

100% Thrifted: (adj.)—previously loved and therefore ridiculously cheap…aka Secondhand

100% Grifted: (adj.)—swindled or cheated…aka Retail

(Disclaimer: No, I don’t actually think that you’re getting ripped off every time you pay retail, but I do believe that if you can’t tell the difference, you shouldn’t have to pay for it).

Place your vote, ladies, then leave me a comment explaining your choice (or you can just vote, but I really ♥ your comments!).

Feel free to be random, funny, literal, or just plain silly!

Just like last week, I’ll choose my favorite commenter, who will automatically receive 5 free entries (+1 for every time you share this post on facebook, twitter, your blog, etc.) into The September Giveaway (if you haven’t checked out the goodies in that one, go now! Some pretty stinkin’ great stuff there!)

So, is it?:

Exhibit A

Exhibit B

Can you tell from the shot on the left that my husband was holding my little girl while taking these pics?

Just for clarification, the shoes I’m wearing with both outfits are a (very) early birthday present from the hubs (that I picked out ; )), as are the earrings in Exhibit B.  So, ignore those. Okay. I’m done.

You think you got it this week? We’ll see about that! ; )

Let the voting (and commenting) begin!

Which outfit is 100% Thrifted?

P.S. If you haven’t seen Move-it Monday’s post about Fit and Fabulous—the new fitness linky I’m starting this Monday, Sept.12—please check it out so you have time to get your fit on and document it (readers welcome too!).

Can I be honest? I’m kind of nervous about starting a linky and would love for you to alleviate my nerves by joining in (ever had that dream where you plan a big party, and nobody shows up? Umm…yeah, me neither).  I promise that exercising is way more fun in groups!

Momma Go Round

  1. I think outfit B is thrifted. I have a feeling I’ve seen those earrings in another post as ‘thrifted.’ Also, that belt looks like it has leather tooling, which screams ‘cowboy-cast-off’ more than ‘in fashion.’

  2. I think A, and I agree about the belt comment that it is too big so maybe thats what made me biased, but really I love both outfits.

  3. Would you mind sharing the brand and shade of lipstick you are wearing in these shots? I’m also very fair and looking for the perfect fall red.

  4. Really hard to tell! Btw I bought an $80 skirt with tags still on for $3.99 tonight at Goodwill!

  5. I thought you were going to give it away with the shoes this time, but of course you didn’t – you just wore them in both. I voted for A, though I can’t really tell you why (it definitely has nothing to do with diapers).

  6. I’m going with B because I’m hoping you didn’t pay full price for the shirt in that one. The color well it reminds me of some diapers I’ve changed and we will just leave it at that! 🙂

  7. I voted for A. Simply because I went to H&M yesterday and tried on a shirt that looked almost exactly like the one in Exhibit B. So either they have the latest style at your local thrift store (although I guess stripes keep coming back every now and then as does that yellow-orange-y colour) or I’m right.

P.S.: The others are right about the belt though, but I’ll stick to my vote.

  8. I vote for exhibit B. It seems that the outfits I love a little more seem to be thrifted, so I just voted for the one I like more! Ha!

  9. I voted for Exhibit B as the thrifted version as I can’t imagine anyone ever wanting to part with the necklace worn in Exhibit A, it’s fantastic!

  10. I chose “A”. Now remember, I have no fashion sense, but here’s my thinking:

It’s all about the belt. The belt in “A” looks too big for you. It is wrapped around itself a couple of times. You’re a smart chick, you wouldn’t pay full price for a belt that doesn’t fit now would you? The belt in exhibit “B” fits perfectly. And it’s a little more stylin’, which leads me to believe exhibit “A” is thrifted.

Either way, they are both cute outfits!

  11. This has nothing to do with this post, but last week sometime (I think? I’m very bad with time and days) you talked about going to that work-out work-shop deal, and someone mentioned you looked like Kat the tattoo lady or whatever her name is. Anyway, in my opinion that would be kind of an insult, and I don’t think you look anything like her. Personally I see more of a resemblance to Megan Fox. My vote is that A is thrifted because the skirt and belt look a bit large.

I love hearing from you guys!
