I’ve had the privilege of trying out the My Memories Scrapbooking Software Suite…
…over the last several weeks and had a lot of fun playing around with it.
So for 5 Things Thursday, I thought I might share 5 (of the many) things you can do with this rockin’ program!
1. Create digital (printable) scrapbook pages (duh).
Whether you’re a veteran paper scrapbooker or a complete scrapbooking novice (like me), you’ll love how easy it is to document your children’s ages—like I did here—or any other memory, either by tweaking their already set design templates (like I did here) or by starting from scratch and building your own custom page, layer by layer.
2. Take advantage of tons of fun customization options.
Practically anything goes because you have your pick of fonts (even word art!), embellishments, picture effects/framing/orientation, background papers, etc.
I wanted to keep this page fairly simple, but I did make all of the photos b+w, using the My Memories software, added the floral embellishment, and changed the font, size, and color of my text.
Easy-peasy!
3. Multimedia it up!
I didn’t play around with this section very much, but it’s possible (and looks quite easy!) to embed links, add videos, and play background music while viewing your albums.
Can’t find anything you like in the card section at the grocery store?
Make your own!
I think I know what my mom’s getting in the mail for her birthday!
Next year’s Christmas cards, perhaps?
5. Make custom printables for yourself and others.
Like this fun (slightly crazy) “laundry schedule” I whipped up for you guys using their custom settings + word art to layer my own backgrounds, fonts, effects, and colors.
If you want one of your own, you can print it here.
I feel like I haven’t even scratched the surface of all the possibilities for the software (in fact, I know I haven’t because I’ve seen it used for all kinds of other things around cyberspace).
But I can say this: it’s very intuitive and easy.
I have made the point several times before here on the blog that I am not the most technologically astute individual out there.
Which is kind of a laughable understatement.
But I was able to create all the fun stuff you see above with ease after spending a few minutes familiarizing myself with the options first.
Believe me, if I can do it without feeling like putting my head through a wall (pretty much my reaction the first time I run into a technological bug…mature, I know), YOU CAN TOO!
In fact, here’s your chance!
Because I pretty much think you guys are swell, I’m giving away one complete My Memories Scrapbooking Suite to one lucky winner:
