Update: Apparently, I spoke too soon about being sickness free (if you didn’t see my giddy declaration last night…read on).
Pretty much the moment his foot crossed the threshold of the gym daycare, my second-born lost every bit of his breakfast, lunch, and dinner all over the floor in spectacular fashion.
Woo-to-the-hoo, people.
Poor little guy.
He took it like a champ, but I’m glad he’s 4 and too little to get that news of his “performance” spread like wildfire—so much so that a friend texted me, “I heard one of yours is throwing up” about 5 minutes after we made it to the parking lot.
Ah, the joy of blissful unawareness, no?
Happy Friday, folks, and yeeeeehaw!
That’s how this girl feels about starting her weekend sickness free (see above) and with tons to look forward to (on the agenda: craft and house projects, a date night, fitness classes, relaxation, and cleaning).
At least that last part will be a little more fun now that my broom and dustpan look like this:
I shared the tutorial yesterday over at Home Stories A to Z, and I’m already loving having it around my kitchen. Not only is it waaaay cuter than the original, but the paper wrapped handle is actually easier to grab now.
Double score.
Oh, and if you missed it, I shared a before and (future) after of my daughter Della’s room (you’ll have to click over to figure what in the world that means!).
I’d love to get your feedback on the plan so far, which looks something like this:
But enough about me.
Let’s see what you guys have been up to!
I’m going ahead and posting the party for you early bird types, but I’ll be back in the morning with some great features, so be sure to stop by, so you can ooooh and aaaaah and see if you got picked!
Oh, and ONE LAST REMINDER about Shop My Closet + the $25 Bath and Bodyworks Gift Card Giveaway!
Most of the items from SMC are gone, but the giveaway is open until Friday, April 20th @ midnight, so be sure to enter for a chance to win some free smelliness! (hmm…that didn’t come out like I’d hoped).
And now for some fantastic features from none of than YOU!
I love everything about this ottoman redo from Leone Design . Seriously, too cool.
Or how about this fantastically fresh and citrusy dried lemon wreath from Days of Chalk and Chocolate?
And since simplicity and stenciling are two of my favorite things (especially since they’re also alliterative!), I had to share these fun Mr. and Mrs. pillows from Bullfrogs and Bulldogs.
I’m also loving From Gardners Two Bergers’ Mod Podge Image Transfer Tutorial (she makes it sound so doable, and the results are fantastic), but I must admit that my attention kept straying because I was so busy checking out the rest of her amazing gallery wall!
I’m grinning like a fool just looking at Live Laugh Rowe’s Spring tablescape. So happy, colorful, and chic!
And just in case that wasn’t enough eye-candy for you, check out these gorgeous pink teacups and coffee table vignette over at My Champagne Taste.
I’m also a little jealous that this fabulous boho dresser from 551 East Design doesn’t live at my house. I’ve got the perfect spot for her!
And now for something completely different. If you want to be the coolest mom EVER, you simply must check out this totally rad Nerf Battlestation from Hating Martha! (I can never show this to my boys, or I am doomed!)
If you’ve been featured, feel free to grab a button from the sidebar!
And now…
It’s your turn again!
Same “rules” as always:
It’s a FREE-FOR-ALL!
If you’ve blogged about it, I want to see it!
So…
1. Link to your specific post URL instead of your blog URL (no limit on the number of linkies, so add as many as you like!)
2. Grab a party button so that others can join in the fun! (Text link-backs are great too! : ))
3. Consider visiting/commenting on at least 2 of the other links. You never know what kind of inspiration you might miss out on if you don’t. Plus we all love to read words of encouragement! (I know I do!)
4. PLEASE, no shops or giveaways!
5. If we aren’t already friends, would you do me the honor of getting regular post updates here?:
or you can:
subcribe for email updates,
and/or join our Facebook page!
Ιt’s going to be finish of mine day, but before finish I am reading this fantastic piece of writing to improve my experience.
