The weather around here has been nuts lately. Which is basically the same thing as saying, “Welcome to East Texas in the springtime.”
For that last several weeks, we’ve been enjoying balmy temperatures in the upper 70’s. And then yesterday morning, it was 28 degrees. Fahrenheit.
Yikes!
Actually, it really wasn’t such a bad thing considering it gave me a chance to wear this cute, striped sweater I dug out of a tub of forgotten winter tops. (Don’t you love finding clothes you didn’t even remember you had? It’s like Christmas!!).
Oh, and my new clearance Target booties. (I know I sound like an elementary-school boy for even admitting this, but I can’t use that word to refer to shoes without giggling a little bit; I’ve been spending too much time around my 5-year-old).
OH! And my fabulous new Noonday necklace!
Okay, so that last one had nothing to do with the weather and everything to do with the fact that I loved it so much and couldn’t wait to put it on.
Um, hello? Turquoise and RED?! Pretty much my favorite color combo evah.
Also?
I already had earrings that went per.fect.ly. I’m not usually into having my earrings be all matchy-matchy with my necklaces, but these were just too close not to pair together.

Have you heard of Noonday? If not, you need to stop whatever you’re doing and go check them out. Truly. This is such an amazing company that is providing hope and a way out of poverty and slavery for so many women around the world. And they’re doing it through simple things like stylish jewelry and accessories that I would absolutely wear anyway. Read here to find out how it all started.
When Brandi, a Noonday ambassador, contacted me and asked me to toodle around their site and pick out my favorites, I said, “NO! I will not go look through dozens of pieces of beautiful jewelry and a slew of cute bags and other great accessories, even if doing so will help out a fellow sister in Christ!”
Oh, c’mon, folks. You know I was browsing before I’d hardly finished reading her email. And I came up with these lovelies:
But don’t worry. If you’re not color-obsessed like I am, they have lots of gorgeous neutral options like this pretty Stacked Arrows necklace:
But the one I liked the most out of all of them was this one:
And, lo and behold, Brandi said she prayed about it (I LOVE that!), and this is the one she felt she was supposed to send me (I didn’t tell her it was my favorite).
But as beautiful and well-made as the Ruth Necklace is (and it is both), the best part about it is the story behind it:
Wow. That pastor is living pure and undefiled religion and speaking the gospel into Ruth’s life. And now Ruth gets to do the same. What an incredible story!
If you’d like to see more, click on over and check out Noonday’s other great offerings, all of which come with a similar background of hope and redemption for women and the lives they affect.
Do I love my new Ruth necklace?
Yes! But what I love even more is the fact that it represents hope. And when you can mix something as fun yet frivolous as jewelry with something as deep as redemption, it’s a very good thing.
P.S. Be on the lookout for the chance to win some credit to Noonday in the near future
P.P.S. Speaking of giveaways, our Helzberg Diamond Earring giveaway ends TONIGHT! Have you entered yet?
P.P.P.S. Noonday even has a really fun giveaway going on right now that will help spread the word about this great company AND could win you a $200 shopping spree in their shop.
LOVE that necklace, and what an awesome back story to it! Thanks for spreading the word about a company doing good.
That necklace is beautiful! I love organizations that do this type of thing. Sari Bari is another one. Such a lovely thing to provide hope.

Hi Ada! Thanks for reading! This was kind of an atypical outfit for me with those oxfords. I’m glad you liked it! 🙂
